Dr Ash is also Head Sensei at Vital Force Aikido, his Geelong dojo. Forty-five years of martial-arts practice — and a longstanding clinical experiment in how the nervous system reveals itself in movement, breath, and how a person meets pressure.
If you're interested in his Aikido work alongside the clinic — get in touch via the clinic and we'll point you to the dojo.
Initial appointments are 45–60 minutes. We send you intake forms by email when you book, ask for a few small things in the lead-up (no caffeine on the day, wash your hair the night before, no conditioner), and walk you through the qEEG calmly when you arrive.
First appointments at Geelong follow our standard protocol — preparation, qEEG data collection, a short biofeedback assessment, and an initial review. The full written report follows your review appointment in Week 2, where Dr Ash sits with you and walks through the findings on screen.
About 8 minutes on foot — straight up Malop Street from the station forecourt.
Westfield Geelong (just up the road) and Market Square have multi-storey parking. There's also some metered street parking on Malop Street and the surrounding grid.
Many of our patients travel from Melbourne by train (V/Line, about 60 minutes from Southern Cross). The Geelong clinic is more accessible than Camperdown for Melbourne-based patients. Telehealth is also an option for follow-ups and review consultations.
Yes — Dr Ash sees patients across both Geelong and Camperdown. When you book, we'll confirm his next available appointment at Geelong.
Geelong is open Monday to Wednesday 9am–5pm and Thursday 9am–6pm (extended evening for working patients). Saturday appointments are sometimes available by arrangement — please ask reception.

The same methodology, every tier
14 brain networks. Quantitative measurement at the start, the middle, and the end. Co-care with your GP and psychologist — we work alongside, not instead of.
19-channel quantitative EEG, processed against age-matched norms via NeuroGuide. swLORETA source localisation maps activity to specific networks.
swLORETA-guided neurofeedback paired with HRV biofeedback at resonant frequency. Network-targeted protocols, not one-size-fits-all.
qEEG comparison at mid-cycle and end of program. If the data isn’t moving in the expected direction, we change the plan — not the calendar.
One methodology across every tier — from the free Snapshot through to the in-clinic 12-week program.
Four tiers of care
Every tier uses the same methodology — examination first, then targeted intervention. Choose the depth that fits your concern, your timeline, and your budget.
A short educational self-questionnaire across the 14 networks. Your top three out of balance, plus a clear next step.
Full 14-network online assessment, severity grading, personalised 30-day plan, and clinician-reviewed insights.
Continuing telehealth support, monthly reassessment, evolving plan, daily insight cards, before/after reports.
Initial qEEG, ~10 swLORETA-guided neurofeedback sessions with integrated HRV biofeedback, mid-cycle re-measurement, follow-up qEEG.
All tiers complement, not replace, your GP, psychologist, or psychiatrist. We co-care.
Two ways to begin
Examination, not assumption.
Take the free Brain Snapshot to orient yourself, or book a consultation with Dr Ash Connell. Both are easy to step away from, and either way you’ll leave with a clearer picture of what’s actually going on.
